Pharmacology

These nutritional supplements provide essential macronutrients (protein, fat, carbohydrates) and micronutrients (vitamins and minerals). Various formulations address specific patient needs: Fresubin DM provides low GI carbohydrates and high protein for diabetics; Fresubin HP provides high-calorie, high-protein for fluid-restricted patients; KabiPro provides 100% whey protein; KabiSure provides a protein blend with 24 nutrients; Ensure Diabetes Care helps manage blood sugar; PediaSure provides complete nutrition for children.

Dosage

Adult Dose (Oral):

  • Fresubin DM: 50 g (approx. 4 leveled scoops) once daily, in 170 mL water
  • Fresubin HP: 42 g (approx. 3 leveled scoops) once daily, in 60 mL water
  • KabiPro: 24 g (approx. 2 leveled scoops) once daily, in 200 mL water
  • KabiSure: 25 g (approx. 3 heaped scoops) once daily, in 150 mL milk
  • Ensure Diabetes Care: 52 g (6 scoops) in 200 mL water

Pediatric Dose (PediaSure): As directed by physician
