Indications
Used to prevent and treat low blood potassium (hypokalaemia).
Dosage
Oral: Take with or after meals with plenty of water or fruit juice. Injection: Administer slowly by intravenous infusion under medical supervision. Dose depends on the severity of potassium deficiency.
Side effects
Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhoea; excess causes dangerous high potassium (hyperkalaemia).
