Lasmiditan is used for the acute treatment of migraine with or without aura in adults. It is a potent and selective 5-HT1F receptor agonist that inhibits trigeminal nerve pathway activation.
Indications
- Acute treatment of migraine with or without aura in adults
Dosage
Adult Dose (Oral):
- 50 mg, 100 mg, or 200 mg as needed
- No more than one dose in 24 hours
- Do not drive or operate machinery for at least 8 hours after dosing
- May be taken with or without food
Hepatic Impairment: Severe (Child-Pugh C): Not recommended

Precautions & warnings
- Do not drive or operate machinery for at least 8 hours after each dose
- Caution with CNS depression (use with alcohol or other CNS depressants)
- Monitor for serotonin syndrome (with SSRIs, SNRIs, TCAs, MAO inhibitors)
- Caution with heart rate-lowering drugs
