Indications
- Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML)
- Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)
Dosage
Adult - CML (Chronic Phase): 100 mg once daily orally.
Adult - CML (Accelerated or Blast Phase): 140 mg once daily orally.
Adult - ALL: 140 mg once daily orally.
May be taken with or without food.
Side effects
Common: Diarrhea, headache, fatigue, nausea, rash, muscle pain, pleural effusion, edema, neutropenia, thrombocytopenia, anemia.
Serious: Myelosuppression, bleeding, fluid retention (pleural effusion, pericardial effusion), QT prolongation, pulmonary hypertension.
Precautions & warnings
Myelosuppression: Monitor blood counts regularly; Fluid retention: Monitor weight and dyspnea; Bleeding risk; QT prolongation: ECG monitoring; Avoid pregnancy; Monitor liver function tests.
