Metamizol is a pain relieving, anti-inflammatory, and fever-reducing medicine used for pain relief and reducing fever. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins D and E.
Indications

Dosage
Adult Dose (Parenteral):
- 16-31 kg: 250 mg (0.5 mL)
- 32-46 kg: 500 mg (1 mL)
- 47-62 kg: 500-750 mg (1-1.5 mL)
- >63 kg: 750-1000 mg (1.5-2 mL)
- Repeat every 6-8 hours; max 4 g/day
- Parenteral use not more than 3 days
Side effects
Common Side Effects:
- Vomiting
- Abdominal pain
- Nausea
- Diarrhea
- Agranulocytosis (rare but serious)
Precautions & warnings
- Caution when driving or doing activities requiring concentration (may cause dizziness, drowsiness, visual disturbances)
- Long-term use may cause stomach bleeding and kidney problems
- Monitor kidney function, liver function, and blood components regularly
- Avoid alcohol
