• Mydriasis and intraocular anesthesia during cataract surgery

Adult Dose (Intracameral):

• For cataract surgery: 0.2 ml as a single injection via intracameral route through the side port or principal port
• Instill 1-2 drops of anesthetic eye drops 5 minutes before surgery

Common Side Effects:

• Injury to the lens (posterior capsule rupture)
• Swelling of the retina (cystoid macular edema)
• Headache
• Swelling of the cornea (keratitis)
• Increased pressure in the eye
• Redness of the eye (ocular hyperaemia)
• High blood pressure (hypertension)

• Do not use if blister is damaged or broken
• Open under aseptic conditions only
• Use immediately after opening
• Not recommended in: combined cataract surgery with vitrectomy, shallow anterior chamber, history of acute narrow angle glaucoma
• Doctor should consider patient's medical condition if suffering from hypertension, atherosclerosis, heart disease, hyperthyroidism, prostate gland disorders, epilepsy, liver or kidney problem, breathing problem or myasthenia gravis
