Erythromycin Thiocyanate, Sulphadiazine and Trimethoprim combination is a water-soluble veterinary antibiotic powder used to treat bacterial infections in poultry, calves, foals, and fish. It is effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It is especially effective when other antibiotics fail due to resistance. It is administered through drinking water or direct oral administration.
Indications
পোলট্রি (Poultry): এই প্রস্তুতি গ্রাম-পজিটিভ ও গ্রাম-নেগেটিভ ব্যাকটেরিয়া দ্বারা সৃষ্ট বিভিন্ন রোগের চিকিৎসায় নির্দেশিত, যেমন: পুলোরাম রোগ (Pullorum disease) ফাউল টাইফয়েড (Fowl typhoid) ফাউল কলেরা (Fowl cholera) কোলিব্যাসিলোসিস (Colibacillosis) সেপ্টিসেমিয়া (Septicemia) নেক্রোটিক এন্টারাইটিস (Necrotic enteritis) অনির্দিষ্ট এন্টারাইটিস (Nonspecific enteritis) শ্বাসতন্ত্রের রোগ (CRD, ব্রঙ্কোপনিউমোনিয়া) মূত্র ও জননতন্ত্রের রোগ কক্সিডিওসিস (Coccidiosis) বাছুর ও ঘোড়ার বাচ্ছা (Calves & Foals): শ্বাসতন্ত্র ও গ্যাস্ট্রোইনটেস্টাইনাল ট্র্যাক্টের সংক্রমণ যেমন: ব্রঙ্কোপনিউমোনিয়া (Bronchopneumonia) ব্রঙ্কাইটিস (Bronchitis) ডায়রিয়া (Diarrhea) এন্টারাইটিস (Enteritis) স্কোর (Scour) মাছ (Fish): গ্রাম-পজিটিভ কক্কি সংক্রমণ (Gram-positive cocci infections)
Dosage
Poultry: 0.5 to 1.0 gm per liter of drinking water for 3-5 days. The medicated water should be freshly prepared each day and birds should not have access to any other drinking water during treatment . Calves/Foals: 7.5 g per 50 kg body weight for 3-5 days. Or as directed by the registered veterinary physician . Fish: 1 g per 10 kg body weight for 3-5 days. Or as directed by the fisheries expert .
Side effects
Common side effects: No side effects observed at recommended doses . Rare side effects: No side effects observed at recommended doses. Long-term use may cause hematological reactions and crystalluria .
Precautions & warnings
Oral erythromycin should not be used in ruminants as diarrhea may occur . Medicated water should be freshly prepared each day . Treatment should be stopped before the specified withdrawal period before slaughter. Withdrawal Period: Eggs: 6 days Meat: 5 days
