Fluticasone Furoate inhalation powder is used for the prophylactic treatment of asthma.
Indications
- Asthma prophylaxis: Once-daily maintenance treatment as prophylactic therapy in patients aged 5 years and older.
- Not indicated for the relief of acute bronchospasm.
Dosage
Adults and Adolescents Aged 12 Years and Older:
- Starting dose: 100 mcg once daily.
- May increase to 200 mcg after 2 weeks if no response.
- Maximum: 200 mcg/day.
Pediatric Patients Aged 5 to 11 Years:
- 50 mcg once daily.
Hepatic Impairment:
- Mild: No dosage adjustment required.
- Moderate-to-severe: Caution advised.

Side effects
Common Side Effects (≥5%):
- Nasopharyngitis
- Bronchitis
- Upper respiratory tract infection
- Headache
Pediatric (≥3%):
- Pharyngitis
- Bronchitis
- Viral infection
Precautions & warnings
Precautions:
- Do not use in acute asthma attacks (fast-acting bronchodilator needed).
- Seek medical advice if asthma symptoms remain uncontrolled or worsen.
- Paradoxical bronchospasm may occur - use bronchodilator immediately and discontinue.
- Avoid in patients with severe allergy to milk protein.
