Pharmacology

Ossein Hydroxyapatite helps maintain bone mineral density and stimulates bone metabolism, especially when osteoblast activity is reduced. Proteins (osteocalcin and type I collagen) aid in bone formation and remodeling.

Dosage

Adult Dose (Oral):

  • 830 mg tablet: 2 tablets twice daily (712 mg elemental calcium daily)

  • Rare cases of gastric discomfort
Use in pregnancy

Use in Pregnancy: Safe during pregnancy; beneficial for fetal bone development.

Precautions & warnings
  • Caution in kidney disease (monitor calcium and phosphate levels)
  • Caution in hypercalcemia or hypercalciuria
Overdose effects

Overdose may cause hypercalcemia; symptomatic treatment.
