Proanthocyanidins are used for chronic venous insufficiency (edema), thrombosis, diabetes and its complications, retinopathy, hypertension, allergy, asthma, endometriosis, dysmenorrhea, osteoarthritis, and skin disorders.

Dosage
Adult Dose (Oral):
- General dose: 50 mg twice daily with meals for 2-3 months
- Hypertension/circulation impairment: 50 mg twice daily
- Diabetes: 50 mg twice daily
- Retinopathy: 50 mg 2-3 times daily
- Asthma: 50 mg twice daily
- Allergies: 50 mg twice daily
- Anti-inflammatory: 50 mg 1-2 times daily
- Osteoarthritis: 50 mg twice daily
- Dysmenorrhea/Endometriosis: 50 mg 1-2 times daily
- Edema (venous insufficiency): 50 mg once daily for 2-4 weeks; advanced: 50 mg 2-3 times daily
- Antioxidant: 50 mg once daily
Side effects
Side Effects:
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Gastric upset, diarrhea, constipation (if taken without food)
Precautions & warnings
- Take with meals to avoid gastric upset
- Do not take during first 3 months of pregnancy
