Indications
- Skeletal muscle relaxation during general anesthesia
- Facilitate endotracheal intubation
Dosage
Adult Dose (Intravenous):
- Muscle relaxant in general anesthesia: Initial dose 80-100 mcg/kg
- Subsequent doses: 10-20 mcg/kg
- After suxamethonium or high-risk patients: 50-60 mcg/kg
- Caesarean section initial dose: 35 mcg/kg
Side effects
Common Side Effects:
- Skin rash
- Increased saliva production
- Injection site reactions (pain, swelling, redness)
- High blood pressure
