Adrenochrome Monosemicarbazone is a hemostatic agent used for the prevention and treatment of surgical and non-surgical capillary bleedings . It is an oxidation product of adrenaline that reduces bleeding time by decreasing capillary permeability . It works at the capillary level and does not exert any adrenergic effects on the respiratory or cardiovascular system . In Bangladesh, it is available as Anaroxyl in 2.5 mg tablet and 5 mg/ml injection forms .
Indications
Adrenochrome Monosemicarbazone is indicated in the following conditions : Prevention and treatment of surgical capillary bleedings Prevention and treatment of non-surgical capillary bleedings Control of capillary hemorrhage in dental procedures
Dosage
ট্যাবলেট (Tablet) : ক্যাপিলারি রক্তপাত প্রতিরোধ ও চিকিৎসার জন্য, রোগের তীব্রতা অনুযায়ী প্রতিদিন ৪-১২ টি ট্যাবলেট, Preferably খাবারের এক ঘন্টা আগে সেবন করতে হবে। For the prevention and treatment of capillary bleedings, according to the severity of the case, 4-12 tablets divided over the day, preferably one hour before meals . ইনজেকশন (Injection) : অস্ত্রোপচারের আগে: পূর্ববর্তী সন্ধ্যায় সাধারণত ১.৫-৫ মি.গ্রা. ইন্ট্রামাসকুলার বা সাবকিউটেনিয়াস ইনজেকশন দেওয়া হয়। অস্ত্রোপচারের প্রায় আধা ঘন্টা আগে আরও একটি ইনজেকশন দেওয়া হয় । Prior to surgery: Medication is started on the preceding evening, either orally or by intramuscular or subcutaneous injection of usually 1.5-5 mg. In addition, an injection is given about half an hour before the surgical intervention . প্রিম্যাচিউর ও শিশুদের জন্য সতর্কতা : 5 mg/ml ইনজেকশন প্রস্তুতিতে ডাইপ্রোফাইলিন (90 mg/ml) থাকায়, প্রিম্যাচিউর বেবি, শিশু ও ছোট শিশুদের ডোজ ০.৩ মি.লি.-এর বেশি হওয়া উচিত নয়। Because of the content of diprophylline (90 mg/ml), the dosage of the 5 mg/ml injection preparation to premature babies, infants and young children should not exceed 0.3 ml .
