Dosage

Side effects
Generally well tolerated. Rarely, gastrointestinal side effects such as constipation, flatulence, nausea, and abdominal pain may occur. Long-term use at high doses may cause hypercalcemia and hypercalciuria.

- Do not use in overdosage.
- Caution in patients with mild to moderate renal failure, diabetes, and patients prone to recurrent renal calculi.
- Caution in patients with hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, and history of kidney stones.
