Dosage
Adult: Instill 1-2 drops into the affected eye every 4 hours for 7-10 days. In severe infections, may increase to 2 drops every hour.
Side effects
Common: Allergic reactions (itching, swelling, conjunctival erythema).
Rare: Anaphylaxis, local irritation.
Precautions & warnings
Prolonged use may result in overgrowth of nonsusceptible organisms including fungi. If superinfection occurs, appropriate measures should be initiated. Bacterial resistance may develop. If purulent discharge, inflammation or pain becomes aggravated, discontinue use and consult a physician.
