Fexofenadine selectively blocks H1 histamine receptors, preventing histamine from binding to these receptors. Histamine is a chemical released during allergic reactions that contributes to symptoms like itching, swelling, and mucus production. By inhibiting the action of histamine, fexofenadine helps alleviate common allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, and itchy or watery eyes.

Adults and children ≥12 years: 120 mg once daily or 60 mg twice daily for allergic rhinitis; 180 mg once daily for urticaria. Children 6–11 years: 30 mg twice daily. Use as directed by a physician.

Take with water. Avoid taking with fruit juices (apple/orange/grapefruit), which reduce absorption.

Take as soon as you remember; skip if it is almost time for the next dose. Do not double up.

Headache, mild drowsiness, nausea, dizziness. Generally well tolerated.

It is recommended to avoid alcohol when taking Fexofenadine Hydrochloride __STRENGTH__ __FORM__ because it can make you drowsy. is an antihistaminic medication. It treats allergy symptoms such as itching, swelling, and rashes by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger (histamine) in the body. It is less likely to make you feel sleepy than some other similar medicines. Do not take it with any fruit juices (such as apple, orange, or grapefruit) as they might make the drug less effective. It may cause nausea. Stick to simple meals, and do not eat rich or spicy food. Avoid using antacids 30 minutes before or after taking this medicine. It can make it harder for your body to absorb this medication.

Hypersensitivity to fexofenadine or any component.

Aluminium/magnesium antacids reduce absorption — separate by 2 hours. Erythromycin/ketoconazole may raise blood levels.
