VALCO - M (Anti-Malasma) Cream 20gm0.02%+0.25%+0.1%

• Moderate to severe melasma of the face (short-term treatment)

Adult Dose (Topical):

• Apply once daily at night (at least 30 minutes before bedtime)
• Gently wash face and neck with mild cleanser; rinse and pat dry
• Apply a thin film to hyperpigmented areas of melasma including about ½ inch of normal-appearing skin surrounding each lesion
• Rub lightly and uniformly into the skin
• During the day, use sunscreen and wear protective clothing; avoid sunlight exposure

Pediatric Use: Safety and efficacy not established

Side Effects:

• Mild to moderate redness
• Skin peeling
• Burning sensation
• Dryness
• Itching
• Hypersensitivity (rare)

Precautions:

• Hydroquinone and Tretinoin may cause mild to moderate irritation
• Local irritation (skin reddening, peeling, mild burning, dryness, pruritus) is expected
• Transient skin reddening or mild burning sensation does not preclude treatment
• If reaction suggests hypersensitivity or chemical irritation, discontinue medication
• Systemic absorption of topical corticosteroids can produce HPA axis suppression
• Avoid use of medicated or abrasive soaps, cleansers, drying cosmetics, high alcohol products, astringents and other irritants or keratolytic drugs
