Latanoprost 0.005% + Timolol 0.5% Eye Prep is used for glaucoma and ocular hypertension. It decreases aqueous humor production and increases outflow to reduce eye pressure.
Indications
- Open-angle glaucoma
- Ocular hypertension
Pharmacology
Latanoprost reduces IOP by increasing uveoscleral outflow of aqueous humor. Timolol reduces IOP by blocking beta receptors and decreasing aqueous humor production.
Dosage
Adult Dose:
- 1 drop in the affected eye(s) once daily in the evening
Side effects
Common Side Effects:
- Eye pain
- Foreign body sensation
- Stinging sensation
- Itching
- Irritation
- Iris color change
- Increased eyelash length, thickness, and number
- Conjunctival hyperemia
Use in pregnancy
Use in Pregnancy: May be unsafe during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown harmful effects on the fetus. Consult your doctor.
Precautions & warnings
- Avoid driving or activities requiring concentration (may cause dizziness or drowsiness)
- Monitor blood sugar in diabetic patients (may mask hypoglycemia symptoms)
- Do not use with contact lenses (contains benzalkonium chloride)
- Consult your doctor during pregnancy and lactation
Overdose effects
No overdose data available; Timolol overdose symptoms: bradycardia, hypotension, bronchospasm, cardiac arrest. Symptomatic treatment.

Before opening: Store refrigerated (2-8°C); After opening: Store below 25°C; Use within 1 month after opening; Keep out of reach of children.
