Elemental Iron (Iron Polymaltose Complex) + Folic Acid + Zinc + Vitamin B-Complex is a dietary supplement used for iron, folic acid, zinc and vitamin B deficiency, especially during pregnancy and lactation.

Pharmacology
Iron is essential for hemoglobin formation and effective erythropoiesis. Folic acid is required for nucleoprotein synthesis and maintenance of normal erythropoiesis. Zinc is a cofactor in over 100 enzymes and plays a role in DNA synthesis. Vitamin B plays a role in synthesis and maintenance of coenzyme A.
Dosage
Adult Dose: One capsule daily. In more severe cases, 2 capsules a day may be required.

- Generally well tolerated
- A few allergic reactions may be seen

Use during pregnancy as directed by the physician.
Pregnancy Category: A — always consult a doctor before taking during pregnancy.
Precautions & warnings
- Care should be taken in patients who may develop iron overload (hemochromatosis, hemolytic anemia, red cell aplasia).
- Iron chelates with tetracycline and absorption may be impaired.
- Present in breast milk, use caution during lactation.
Overdose effects
Overdose may cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and allergic reactions. Provide symptomatic treatment.

Store in a cool and dry place. Keep out of reach of children.
