Description
L-Ornithine + L-Aspartate is a stable combination of two important endogenous amino acids. After administration, it quickly breaks down into L-Ornithine and L-Aspartate. L-Ornithine acts as a substrate of the urea cycle, converting toxic ammonia into non-toxic urea which is eliminated via the kidneys, helping the diseased liver carry out normal detoxification. This process lowers elevated blood ammonia levels (hyperammonemia), a common problem in most liver diseases. L-Aspartate is an essential component of the citric acid cycle that liberates energy (ATP) and helps regenerate damaged liver cells.

Dosage
Sachet (Oral):
- 1-2 sachets granules 3 times daily
- Dissolve in a glass of water or juice and take during or after meals
Injection (Infusion Concentrate):
- Up to 20 g (4 ampoules) daily
- In pre-coma or coma: up to 8 ampoules within 24 hours (depending on severity)
Administration
- Sachet: Dissolve granules in a glass of water or juice and consume immediately
- Infusion: Add to conventional IV fluids (0.9% Sodium Chloride, 5% Dextrose, Ringer's lactate)
- Dilution: 1 ampoule per 100 ml IV fluid; max 6 ampoules per 500 ml
- Infusion Rate: Max 5 g/hour
Missed dose
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember; skip if it's almost time for next dose.
