Description
Sodium Bicarbonate + Citric Acid + Sodium Carbonate reacts with water to form sodium citrate, which has antacid buffering properties, and carbon dioxide which facilitates eructation. A slight excess of sodium bicarbonate remains with a small, direct acid-neutralising contribution.

Pharmacology
Sodium Bicarbonate + Citric Acid + Sodium Carbonate dissolves in water to form sodium citrate, which provides antacid buffering properties, and releases carbon dioxide that facilitates eructation. The remaining sodium bicarbonate contributes to direct acid neutralization.
Mechanism of action
Forms an antacid buffer in water that neutralizes stomach acid and facilitates gas release.
Dosage
Adults and Children ≥12 years:
- 5 g (1 sachet) dissolved in a glass of water; drink as symptoms occur
- A second dose may be taken after 2-3 hours
- Maximum daily dose: 2 sachets (10 g)
- Maximum duration: 14 days
Administration
- Dissolve entire contents of one sachet in a glass of water
- Drink after dissolution
- Maintain at least 2-hour interval between doses
Missed dose
If you miss a dose, take it when symptoms occur; do not double the dose.

- No significant side effects with proper use
- Excessive use may cause electrolyte imbalance
Precautions & warnings
- Do not use on sodium-restricted diets (hypertension, congestive heart failure) without medical advice
- Caution in patients with impaired hepatic and renal function
