Sodium Alginate + Magnesium Alginate is used for gastric reflux, heartburn, reflux-associated flatulence, and heartburn of pregnancy. It reacts with gastric acid to form an alginate raft that impedes gastroesophageal reflux.

Dosage
Pediatric (1-2 years) Dose (Oral):
- <4.5 kg body weight: 1 sachet maximum 6 times daily
- >4.5 kg body weight: 2 sachets maximum 6 times daily
Preparation:
- Bottle-fed infants: Mix each sachet into 115 ml of feed; shake well
- Breast-fed and other infants: Mix with 5 ml cooled boiled water to form a paste, add another 10 ml water, and feed

Side Effects:
- No significant side effects with proper use
Precautions & warnings
- Review clinical situation if symptoms do not improve after 7 days
- Caution in hypercalcemia, nephrocalcinosis, or calcium-containing renal calculi
- High sodium content (255.76 mg sodium per 20 ml dose)
