Sodium Fluoride 0.022% Mouthwash is used for the prevention of dental caries. It strengthens teeth by promoting enamel remineralization and prevents cavities.

Indications
  • Prevention of dental caries
Dosage

Adult and Child Dose (Oral Mouthwash):

  • 5-10 mL once or twice daily
  • Swish for 1 minute, then expectorate
  • Use immediately after brushing/flossing teeth
  • Avoid eating, drinking, or rinsing mouth for at least 30 minutes after use
Side effects

Side Effects:

  • Sialorrhea (increased salivation)
  • Mouth/gum irritation
  • Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea
  • Headache, muscle tremor (if accidentally swallowed)
  • Tooth discoloration (rare)
Precautions & warnings
  • Not for systemic use; do not swallow
  • Continuous ingestion may cause fluoride toxicity
  • Caution in kidney disease, peptic ulcer disease, severe joint pain, or low-sodium diet
  • Use with special care in children
