Pharmacology
Camphor acts as a cough suppressant and topical analgesic, relieving local pain when applied to the skin. Eucalyptus Oil acts as a cough suppressant and clears airways. Menthol acts as a cough suppressant and topical analgesic, providing a cooling sensation to relieve pain. The combination of these ingredients reduces pain and inflammation and helps clear mucus from the airways.
Dosage
Topical application: Rub gently for 3-4 minutes on the chest and back 2-3 times daily. Cover the rubbed area with warm clothes.
Inhalation: Dissolve 1 teaspoon of ointment in boiling water and inhale the steam by mouth or nose as required.
Note: Do not use in children under 3 years. Avoid use in patients with a history of convulsion.
