Sodium Cromoglycate 2% Eye/Nasal Prep is used for the treatment of allergic rhinitis and allergic conjunctivitis. It inhibits mast cell degranulation, preventing the release of allergy mediators.

Pharmacology
Sodium Cromoglycate stabilizes mast cell membranes, preventing the release of histamine, leukotrienes, and slow-reacting substance of anaphylaxis after antigen-antibody reaction. It reduces the severity of allergic symptoms and acts prophylactically.
Dosage
Adult (Eyes):
- 1-2 drops into each eye 2-3 times daily
Adult (Nose):
- 1-2 drops into each nostril 2-4 times daily
Child (Eyes):
- 1-2 drops into each eye 2-3 times daily
Child (Nose):
- 1-2 drops into each nostril 2-4 times daily
Side effects
Side Effects:
- Nasal: Transient nasal mucosa irritation, sneezing, epistaxis (occasional)
- Eyes: Transient burning and stinging

Precautions & warnings
- Do not wear contact lenses during treatment (contains benzalkonium chloride)

Overdose is not applicable (topical application); excessive use may cause local irritation.
