Dosage
Adults: 1 tablet orally twice daily after meals or as directed by the physician.

- Uncommon: Drowsiness, skin reactions, headache
Glucosamine sulfate seems to be safe for most people. Some glucosamine products may not contain the labeled amount or may contain excessive amounts of Manganese.
Precautions & warnings
- Diabetic patients should monitor blood glucose levels regularly (glucosamine may increase insulin resistance).
- Patients allergic to shellfish should consult their physician before use (glucosamine is extracted from chitin, a carbohydrate; shellfish allergies are usually caused by protein).
- Use under medical supervision in patients with severe renal or hepatic insufficiency.
- Not recommended during pregnancy and lactation.
