Multivitamin [water soluble] + Normal Saline is an injectable nutritional supplement used to meet daily water-soluble vitamin requirements of dehydrated patients.

- Daily water-soluble vitamin requirements of dehydrated patients
- Water-soluble vitamin supply for patients receiving parenteral nutrition
Pharmacology
This is a sterile, lyophilized powder for infusion containing balanced amounts of water-soluble vitamins that act as coenzymes of vital enzymes associated with crucial physiological processes, energy metabolism, cell growth and replenishment especially in brain and nerve cells. Vitamin C acts as an antioxidant and helps in collagen formation.
Dosage
Adults and Children ≥10 kg:
- 1 vial (10 ml) daily
Children <10 kg:
- 1 ml/kg body weight/day
Preparation:
- Reconstitute with 10 ml WFI, 10% Fat emulsion, 5-60% Glucose or Normal Saline

- Allergic reactions in hypersensitive patients (e.g., Thiamine)
Use in pregnancy
Use in Pregnancy: Animal reproduction studies not conducted; however, published reports on safe administration of water-soluble vitamins exist.
Pregnancy Category: A — always consult a doctor before taking during pregnancy.
Precautions & warnings
- Caution in patients hypersensitive to Thiamine
- Protect from light when mixed with water-based solutions
Overdose effects
No adverse effects of overdose reported (except extremely high parenteral doses).
Storage conditions
Before reconstitution: Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from light. After reconstitution: Use immediately or within 24 hours.
