Indications
  • Peptic ulcer disease
  • Smooth muscle spasms in gastrointestinal disorders
Dosage

Adult Dose (Oral):

  • Peptic ulcer: 5-10 mg twice or three times daily

  • Xerostomia (dry mouth)
  • Decreased sweating
  • Urinary hesitancy and retention
  • Blurred vision
  • Cycloplegia
  • Increased ocular tension
  • Loss of taste
  • Headache
  • Nervousness
  • Mental confusion
  • Impotence
  • Suppression of lactation
  • Urticaria
  • Constipation
Precautions & warnings
  • Caution in elderly; autonomic neuropathy; hepatic or renal disease; hyperthyroidism, CHF, thyrotoxicosis, MI, tachyarrhythmias, hypertension, prostatic hypertrophy; hiatal hernia
  • May impair ability to drive or operate machinery
  • Caution during pregnancy and lactation
