Ispaghula Husk [Psyllium] is a mild laxative used for constipation, raised cholesterol levels, hemorrhoids, and irritable bowel syndrome.
Indications
- Constipation
- Raised levels of cholesterol
- Hemorrhoids or piles
- Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
- Reduces blood glucose level
- Easy bowel movement with smooth stool (anal fissures, colon cancer, post anal & rectal surgery, pregnancy)
Dosage
Adult Dose (Oral):
- 1 spoonful (3.5 gm) 1-3 times daily or as per doctor's advice
- Adults and children over 12 years: 1 spoonful twice daily
Child Dose (6-12 years):
- ½ to 1 spoonful 1-2 times daily depending on age and weight
Child Dose (<6 years): Not recommended except as directed by physician

Precautions:
- Consuming dried husk orally without water may cause problems
