Tioconazole 1% Topical Cream is an azole antifungal used for skin fungal infections and pityriasis versicolor. It destroys fungal cell membranes by inhibiting ergosterol synthesis.

Indications
  • Skin fungal infections (tinea corporis, cruris, manuum, pedis)
  • Pityriasis versicolor (tinea versicolor)
  • Dermal candidiasis
  • Erythrasma (due to activity against some Gram-positive bacteria)
Dosage

Adult and Pediatric Dose (Topical):

  • Skin fungal infections: Apply 1% cream 1-2 times daily to affected area
  • Chronic hyperkeratotic tinea pedis may require up to 6 weeks

  • Contact dermatitis
  • Burning, irritation
  • Itching

  • For external use only
  • Caution in pregnancy and lactation
  • Do not use in hypersensitivity to imidazole-derivative azole antifungals
