Brig Gen Prof Dr. Muhammad Ali Azad

Brig Gen Prof Dr. Muhammad Ali Azad is a Senior Consultant in ENT and Head Neck Surgery at Evercare Hospital Chattogram, currently serving as Adviser Specialist and Head of the Department of ENT and Head-Neck Surgery at Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Chattogram, and Head of the Department at Army Medical College, Chattogram. He is a nationally recognized Head and Neck Cancer Surgeon in the Bangladesh Armed Forces. He obtained his MBBS from Sir Salimullah Medical College, FCPS and MCPS in ENT and Head-Neck Surgery from BCPS, and DLO from the University of Dhaka. He completed certified fellowship training at Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital India, MD Anderson Cancer Center USA, Royal Marsden Hospital UK, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center USA. He was awarded SPP (Sena Parodorshita Padak) by the President of Bangladesh for outstanding performance in Head and Neck cancer surgery. His areas of expertise include Laryngeal Cancer Surgery, Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery, Parotid Tumour Surgery, Neck Dissection, Oral and Tongue Cancer Surgery and reconstruction, Sinonasal Cancer Surgery, and Parapharyngeal and Carotid Body Tumour Surgery. He has performed over 100 total laryngectomies with voice prosthesis insertion and founded a laryngectomy club in the Bangladesh Armed Forces.
