Dr. Md. Amiruzzaman

is an energetic & enthusiastic Cornea, Refractive & Cataract Specialist. He has performed more than 30,000 Cataract Surgeries (Phaco, SICS & SFIOL etc.). In addition, being a Cornea Specialist, he performed more than 1600 Cornea Transplantation, 250 LASIK & PRK, 2000 Corneal Collagen Cross Linking (CXL), 3000 Pterygium & AMG graft.

Before coming to Bangladesh Eye Hospital, Dr. Amir was Associate Professor & Chief-Cornea & Anterior Segment Department of Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute & Hospital, Dhaka.

Initially Dr. Amir was a Govt. Doctor (DMCH, BSMMU, NIOH, etc.).

has also spent long time at Islamia Eye Hospital, LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad-India, UC Davis California-USA & Singapore for Cornea, Cataract & Refractive Fellowship training.

is also active in research and published more than 35 papers in local and foreign journals. He regularly attends/ presents at various eye conferences at home and abroad and run instruction courses for ophthalmologists.

has been working in the Cornea Clinic since 2007 and now working as the Head and Senior Consultant of the “Cornea & External Diseases Department” of the Bangladesh Eye Hospital. He is also working as the Senior Consultant in the LASIK and Refractive Surgery department. He has more than 10 years of experience in managing corneal diseases and corneal surgeries including LASIK and various corneal transplantation procedures. Dr. Amir is married & has two Son’s. His wife Nilima Afroz, Associate Professor of Govt. College.
