Dr. Syeed Mehbub Ul Kadir

is an illustrious Orbit, Aesthetic, Ophthalmic Plastic, and Ocular Oncology specialist and Surgeon in Bangladesh. He completed his MBBS from Mymensingh medical college under Dhaka University. He then obtained Master in Ophthalmology (MS) at National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital under Dhaka University. He completed the Basic ophthalmology training from Mymensingh medical college hospital, Mymensingh and and advanced training on from Department of Oculoplasty, National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital, Dhaka. He also worked as Lecturer cum medical officer, assistant registrar and junior consultant of Medical College for women & hospital, Dhaka, Mymensingh medical college hospital and National Institute of Ophthalmology & Hospital respectively. He had done hands on Long term fellowship training (2011-2012) at Department of Orbit and Ophthalmic Plastic Services under supervision of Professor Subrahmanyum Mallajyosulla, MBBS, DO,MS,FUBC, FUW at Sankar Institute of Ophthalmology, Visakhapatnam, India. He also completed hands on training on orbital Floor fracture repair & mini plating, injection of botulinum toxin type A and fillers, endoscopic nasal DCR.

has been working as Consultant, Department of Orbit and Oculoplasty Services in Bangladesh Eye Hospital since 2011. He has more than 8 years experience in managing the orbital diseases, Ocular tumor, Eyelid disorder, Squint, Lacrimal disorders and Aesthetic problem. He has special interest in Ptosis surgery, Eyelid Reconstruction and orbital surgery.

plays a leading role in academia, sharing his expertise and helping to train the next generation of Oculoplastic surgeons. He is also active in research and published more than 25 scientific articles in different journals. He is one of the authors of the text book-“Hydatidosis of the Central Nervous System: Diagnosis and Treatment”. He had published the book-“Handbook of Ophthalmology”. He gives lectures and speaks at medical institutions and conferences worldwide on topics ranging from Orbital disease to approaches of eyelid surgery and Aesthetic to Therapeutic Botox. He presented 15 free papers and 5 posters in International Conference. He is one of the participants of leadership development program (LDP) of 2014-2015 organized by Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO).
