Prof. Dr. AKM Shamsul Alam

Prof. Dr. AKM Shamsul Alam is a Senior Consultant in Anaesthesia at Evercare Hospital Chattogram, with 33 years of experience in Anaesthesia and 14 years in Intensive Care medicine. He completed his MBBS from Chittagong Medical College in 1983 and FCPS in Anaesthesia from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1991. He served as Professor and Head of the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at Chittagong Medical College Hospital until his retirement in 2020. He received specialised training at Siriraj University Hospital, Bangkok, Thailand and John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, UK in Intensive Care Units. His expertise covers critical care management, pain management, and emergency anaesthesia. He has 19 research papers published in national and international journals.
