Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium 0.25% + Hypromellose 0.3% Eye Prep is an ocular lubricant used to relieve dryness and pain of the eye, particularly associated with reduced or abnormal tear production.

Pharmacology
Hypromellose and Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium are polymers in nature. It is a clear and colorless aqueous solution. This medication lubricates the surface of the eye similarly to natural tears. Hypromellose stabilizes and thickens the precorneal tear film and prolongs tear film breakup time, promoting corneal wetting and providing lubrication and protection to the eye.
Dosage
Adults: Instill 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed.
Children: Safety and efficacy have not been established.
Note: Consult your doctor if symptoms persist for more than 3 days or worsen.
Side effects
- Blurred vision
- Matting or stickiness of eyelashes
- Temporary burning or stinging (rare)

- If you experience eye pain, changes in vision, continued redness or irritation, or if symptoms continue for more than 3 days or worsen, consult your doctor.
- For external use only.

Overdose effects
Overdose is not expected to be dangerous.
