Indications
- Itching, pain, and discomfort of ivy, oak, sumac poisoning
- Minor burns and sunburns
- Minor cuts and scrapes
- Insect bites
- Minor skin irritations and rashes
Dosage
Adult Dose (Topical):
- Apply to affected area every 6-8 hours as needed
- Not more than 3-4 times daily
Pediatric Dose (>2 years):
- Same as adult
- Under 2 years: Safety and efficacy not established
Side effects
Side Effects:
- Local skin reactions (irritation, pruritus, dermatitis)
- Anaphylactoid reactions
- Burning, stinging, tingling
- Urticaria, skin peeling, skin lesions
Precautions & warnings
- For external use only
- Avoid contact with eyes, nose, ears, and mouth
- May be harmful if swallowed; if swallowed, get medical help immediately
- Discontinue if condition worsens or if symptoms do not improve within 7 days
