Indications
- Schizophrenia
- Depressive episodes associated with Bipolar I Disorder (bipolar depression) - monotherapy or adjunctive therapy with lithium or valproate
Dosage
Schizophrenia: 40 mg once daily initially; may increase to 80 mg/day; max 160 mg/day
Bipolar Depression: 20 mg once daily initially; max 120 mg/day
Hepatic Impairment: Moderate (Child-Pugh B): 20 mg/day; max 80 mg/day; Severe (Child-Pugh C): 20 mg/day; max 40 mg/day
Renal Impairment: CrCl <50 mL/min: 20 mg/day; max 80 mg/day
