Indications

Superficial ocular infections due to oxytetracycline and polymyxin-sensitive organisms (conjunctivitis, keratitis, corneal ulcer, blepharitis)
Superficial skin infections

Dosage

Adult Dose (Topical/Eye):

Eye ointment: Apply 2-4 times daily
Skin ointment: Apply on sterile gauze 2-3 times daily

Pediatric Dose: Same as adult

Side effects

Side Effects:

No common side effects at small doses
Local skin irritation
Severe allergic reactions (rash, hives, itching, difficulty breathing, facial swelling)

Precautions & warnings

Avoid prolonged use (overgrowth of nonsusceptible organisms)
Severe anaphylactic reactions may occur
Serious reactions reported in some animals with ophthalmic preparations
