Pharmacology
This preparation contains 8 essential vitamins with Cod Liver Oil. Cod Liver Oil contains Vitamin A, Vitamin D, EPA & DHA. Both EPA & DHA are omega-3 fatty acids. These omega-3 fatty acids keep blood triglycerides in check and may inhibit the progression of atherosclerosis. They also have anti-inflammatory activity.
Mechanism of action
Vitamins A, D, B complex, C, E, and omega-3 fatty acids from cod liver oil support normal growth, development, and body function.
Dosage
Adult Dose (Oral):
- 10 ml or 2 teaspoons daily
Child Dose (Oral Syrup):
- Infant (1-12 months): 1/2 teaspoonful (2.5 ml) per day
- Children (1-4 years): 1 teaspoonful (5 ml) per day
- Children (4 years up): 1 1/2 teaspoonful (7.5 ml) per day
Administration
- Take as directed by a physician
- This syrup can be taken with water or milk
Missed dose
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember; if almost time for next dose, skip it; do not double the dose.
