Dr. Mohammed Rashed Alam

is a Cornea specialist and Cataract surgeon. He attained MBBS in 2001 from Jahurul Islam Medical College and MS in 2011 from NIO&H. He has passed ICO examination and completed ICO Fellowship in Cataract Surgery from Mahatme Eye Institute, Nagpur, India in 2013. He has done a long-term fellowship in Cornea and Anterior Segment from IIEI&H, Bangladesh in 2015.

Currently he is working as an Assistant Professor and Consultant in the department of Cornea in Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute & Hospital and also asDeputy Director of Ispahani Eye Bank.

Dr. Rashed has performed several thousand cases of cataract and corneal surgeries. He has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented papers in several national and international meetings. He is a member of Ophthalmological Society of Bangladesh, Asia Cornea Society & alsoPublication&Publicity Secretary of BCRS (Bangladesh Cornea & Refractive Society)

His areas of interest are Anterior Lamellar Keratoplasty, Endothelial Keratoplasty, Corneal ectasia& Eye Banking.

Dr. Rashed is married to Dr. Mahrubin Alam and has one daughter (Azreen) and one son (Zuhair).
