Dr. Sandeep Dhavan

Dr. Sandeep Dhavan is a Senior Consultant in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Evercare Hospital Chattogram. He completed his MD (Medicine) from Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana, Punjab in 1992, and DM (Gastroenterology) from the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India in 1996. He has 2 years of training in the Department of Hepatology at PGI Chandigarh, one year as Post-DM resident in Gastroenterology at PGI Chandigarh, three years as Faculty in Gastroenterology at PGI Chandigarh until 2000, and 16 years as Head of the Department of Gastroenterology at Chuttani Medical Center, Chandigarh. He has performed over 70,000 endoscopic procedures including ERCPs and has over 25 years of experience in Interventional and Therapeutic Gastroenterology. He is trained to treat all acute and chronic liver and gastrointestinal diseases including fatty liver, IBD, Hepatitis B and C, cirrhosis, and GI cancers. He is President of the Gastroenterology and Liver Forum, Chandigarh, Treasurer of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology, Chandigarh chapter, Ex-President of the Indian Medical Association Chandigarh, and Founder Trustee of the Medicos Legal Action Group.
