Dr. S.M. Shohel Rana

Dr. S.M. Shohel Rana is an Attending Consultant in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Evercare Hospital Chattogram. He completed his MBBS from Dhaka University in 2013 and MD in Hepatology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. He received a one-year Max Fellowship in Advanced GI Endoscopy, Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and Max CLBS training in Transplant Hepatology from Max Super Specialty Hospital, Delhi, India in 2023, as well as Observership training in GI Motility Disorder Study from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi, India in 2021. He is skilled in Therapeutic Endoscopy, ERCP, Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endoscopic Ultrasound, High-Resolution Oesophageal and Anorectal Manometry, and Third Space Endoscopy including Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy and Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection. He has managed over 100 pre- and post-liver transplant patients in the Department of Transplant Hepatology, CLBS, Max Hospital, Delhi. Before joining Evercare Chattogram, he worked at United Hospital Limited, Dhaka as Junior Consultant in Hepatology and Gastroenterology, at Central Police Hospital, Dhaka as Consultant in Hepatology and Gastroenterology, and as Assistant Professor of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Ashiyan Medical College.
