• Dr. Utpal Das Gupta is a Consultant in Gastroenterology and Hepatology with over 20 years of experience in treating diseases of the liver and digestive system.
• He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from People’s Friendship University of Russia in 2003. He completed his postgraduate training at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), Bangladesh Medical University (formerly BSMMU), and the National Institute of Diseases of the Chest & Hospital (NIDCH). He earned his FCPS in Medicine in 2013 and completed his MD in Hepatology in 2015.
• Dr. Das Gupta has received advanced training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Bangladesh and abroad. He has attended numerous national and international medical conferences and remains committed to keeping up with the latest advances in liver and digestive diseases.
• He has published research articles in international medical journals, particularly on fatty liver disease, and actively participates in academic and professional activities.
• Dr. Das Gupta is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCP, Glasgow, UK). He is also a member of the American College of Physicians (MACP) and the Indian National Association for Study of the Liver (INASL).
• His areas of expertise include fatty liver disease, viral hepatitis (Hepatitis B & C), liver cirrhosis, jaundice, acid reflux, stomach ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), pancreatitis, gallbladder diseases, gastrointestinal bleeding, and liver cancers. He also performs diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI Endoscopy and Colonoscopy.
