Prof. Dr. Md. Arif Miah

Prof. Md. Arif Mian Ex Director cum Professor, National Institute of Ophthalmology, Sher-E Bangla Nagar, Dhaka. He was head of the Department of Glaucoma in the same Institute for more than 8 years. He was born in 1956 at Narsingdi District of greater Dhaka. He graduated from Mymensing Medical College in 1980. Later he obtained D.O. & FCPS in Ophthalmology in January 1989 & July 1989 respectively from Bangladesh College of physicians & Surgeons.

Prif. Md. Arif Mian has about 30 publication in national and international journals. He has teaching experience of 28 years. He has short term Training in Glaucoma from Heidelberg, Germany in 2013. He has visited France, Spain, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan & India to attend International conference of Ophthalmology. He is adviser to Mustafiz memorial hospital & glaucoma research Centre, Dhaka. He is the convener of the course curriculum committee faculty of Ophthalmology Bangladesh College of physicians & Surgeons (BCPS).At present he is the president of Bangladesh Glaucoma Society.
