Professor Dr. Md. Ezharul Haque

Professor Dr. Md. Ezharul Haque is an MBBS and MS (General Surgery) qualified Laparoscopic and General Surgeon currently serving as Senior Consultant, Department of General and Laparoscopic Surgery at Evercare Hospital Dhaka. He completed his MBBS and subsequently his MS in General Surgery from BIRDEM Academy under the University of Dhaka. He received advanced training in Laparoscopic and Minimally Invasive Surgery abroad. He is a renowned Laparoscopic and Minimally Invasive Surgeon with expertise in surgeries for gallbladder, appendix, hernia, colon, spermatic cord, adrenals, and other complex conditions. He served as Head of the Department of Surgery and Unit Chief of Colorectal Surgery, performing regular surgeries for carcinoma, haemorrhoids, fissures, sinuses, and fistulas. He served as Chief of the Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre (MISC) at BIRDEM and has trained numerous surgeons in Laparoscopic Surgery. He is a teacher and examiner at Ibrahim Medical College and BIRDEM Academy, and an examiner at Bangladesh Medical University (BMU). He has published more than 20 research papers in national and international journals and is a life member of the General, Endolaparoscopic, Colorectal, and Hernia Surgical Society of Bangladesh.
