Recombinant fusion protein used in combination with FOLFIRI chemotherapy for metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC).
Indications
Indicated in combination with FOLFIRI for patients with metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) resistant to or progressed following an oxaliplatin-containing regimen.
Dosage
4 mg/kg as an intravenous infusion over 1 hour every 2 weeks. Do not administer as an IV push or bolus.
Side effects
Common: Leukopenia, diarrhea, neutropenia, proteinuria, AST/ALT elevation, stomatitis, fatigue, thrombocytopenia, hypertension, weight decrease, epistaxis, abdominal pain, and dysphonia.
Precautions & warnings
Monitor for fistula formation, hypertensive crisis, arterial thromboembolic events, proteinuria, severe diarrhea, and Reversible Posterior Leukoencephalopathy Syndrome (RPLS). Delay if neutrophils < 1.5 x 10^9/L.
