Dr. Zahiruddin Mahmud Illius

Dr. Zahiruddin Mahmud Illius is a Senior Consultant in Cardiology at Evercare Hospital Chattogram. He completed his MBBS in 1994, MCPS in Internal Medicine, MD in Cardiology from the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, and DEM in Diabetology and Endocrinology from BIRDEM. He also holds MACP from the USA. He is the first Bangladeshi physician to hold three specialist degrees in Medicine — Cardiology, Internal Medicine, and Diabetology and Endocrinology. He is a pioneer in Coronary Angioplasty in Chattogram with over 18 years of outstanding performance in Complex Angioplasty, Peripheral Angioplasty, and Primary Angioplasty. Before joining Evercare, he served as Interventional Cardiologist at United Hospital and as Assistant Professor and Head of Cardiology at President Abdul Hamid Medical College.
