Dr. A.Q.M. Reza

Dr. A.Q.M. Reza is an MBBS, MD (Cardiology), FACC (USA), and FRCP (Glasgow) qualified Interventional Cardiologist with more than 20 years of experience in Clinical and Interventional Cardiology. He currently serves as Senior Consultant and Coordinator, Department of Cardiology Care Centre at Evercare Hospital Dhaka. He obtained his MBBS from Sir Salimullah Medical College, Dhaka, and earned his MD in Cardiology from the National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease (NICVD), Dhaka. He received advanced training in Interventional Cardiology at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore; Madras Medical Mission, Chennai, India; South Korea; and Japan. He received specialised training in Permanent Pacemaker, ICD, and CRT implantation from Germany and Baroda, India. He is renowned in Bangladesh for his expertise in Balloon Valvuloplasty including Mitral Stenosis (PTMC), Peripheral Angioplasty, Primary PCI, Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO), and Multi-Vessel Complex Angioplasty. He pioneered structural heart disease treatment including ASD, VSD, and PDA device closure, IVC filter implantation, and tumour vessel embolisation at Evercare Hospital Dhaka. He is the first Bangladeshi physician selected as Professor by the Apollo Hospitals Education and Research Foundation in recognition of his contributions to research and academics.
