Dr. Nighat Islam

Dr. Nighat Islam is an MBBS and MD (Cardiology) qualified Cardiologist with over 11 years of experience in Cardiology and a special interest in Non-invasive Cardiology and echocardiogram modalities. She obtained her MBBS from Dhaka Medical College in 2001 and her MD in Cardiology from the National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease (NICVD), Dhaka in 2012. She received postgraduate training from Dhaka Medical College and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). In 2016, she received training in Non-invasive and Interventional Cardiology at Severance Hospital, Seoul, South Korea. She completed her Fellowship in Non-invasive Cardiology at Max Super Specialty Hospital, New Delhi, India in 2022, and received training in Adult Congenital Echocardiography at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi, India in 2023. She currently serves as Consultant, Department of Cardiology Care Centre at Evercare Hospital Dhaka. She is an expert in different modalities of echocardiogram including 2D, 3D, colour Doppler, transoesophageal echo, strain echo, and dobutamine stress echo. She has more than 30 publications in national and international journals.
